Do you know the weight of your words?
The Nova High Drama Department would like to cordially invite your school to see the Weight of Words. Weight of Words is an anti-bullying musical play production that was created, composed, and written by a group of Nova High School students. Its core message is to bring awareness of anti-bullying to students in order to give them the tools and encouragement needed to make a positive stand. This production portrays different aspects of bullying, such as: verbal bullying, cyber-bullying, and physical bullying. It also displays that bullying doesn’t only happen at school but it can also happen in other environments.
The phenomenal part of this production is that it provides an answer by teaching about weight of our words. Weight of Words shows students to be mindful of what they say to others, and how their words can impact others around them. It also encourages students to not be a bystander but to be an “upstander”, while standing up when they see others being bullied.
